Since 1940, the County Engineers Association of Ohio has worked to unify its members in providing the highest quality transportation, drainage, surveying and land record keeping services. From the safe and efficient movement of people, goods and services to continuing land development needs, CEAO strives to construct solutions for many challenges to Ohio's local infrastructure. Ohio County Engineers are responsible for 26,081 bridges and 28,970 miles of urban and rural roadways that are vital to the combined growth of jobs and prosperity in the state of Ohio.

ODOT: Automated Flaggers Making Road Work Safer

According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, flagging traffic is one of the most dangerous jobs. If you drive a car, you’ve probably seen them at road construction sites:  Men and women wearing neon safety vests and holding signs that read “slow” on one side, and “stop” on the other. ODOT employees coordinate with each other to flip the signs, allowing traffic to move by the work site.

Goshen Township Trustees Move Forward with Duck Creek Road Renovation Project

GOSHEN TOWNSHIP – The Board of Trustees took the next steps on the Duck Creek Road renovation project in its meeting Tuesday. Trustees voted unanimously to approve a resolution to proceed with the Duck Creek Road Project and sign the memorandum of understanding with the Mahoning County Engineer’s Office for the use of funds from the Mahoning County sales tax for roadway improvement for the project.

'Single Most Important Thing You Can Do;' Ohio Pushing for Stricter Seatbelt Laws

CLARK COUNTY — More people are dying on Ohio’s highways because they are not wearing seatbelts.

State data shows since 2019, over 60 percent of all deadly crashes were because drivers did not buckle up.

“I always wear my seatbelt,” Nathon Alexander said.
