A Note on Coronavirus (COVID-19) and Upcoming CEAO Conferences and Events

The safety and wellbeing of all of our conference participants is our utmost priority. 

CEAO is closely monitoring the ongoing developments surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) and will adjust our CEAO conference schedule(s) and safety protocols, as needed, following guidance from Governor DeWine’s office, the CDC and other public health officials.

As of today, future CEAO conferences will be moving forward as planned. Please watch for more details regarding registration and program information which will be listed under each respective conference on the CEAO website.

If you do not feel well, have been in contact with individuals diagnosed with coronavirus or are experiencing coronavirus symptoms, please do not travel.

CEAO Accepting Scholarship Applications for Ohio College Students in Civil Engineering and/or Surveying programs

Applications Due June 12, 2020

The County Engineers Association of Ohio (CEAO) Board of Directors has established a scholarship program for Civil Engineering and/or Surveying students attending school in the State of Ohio. The intent of the Board is to increase awareness of the County Engineering profession and to encourage students and current county employees to become registered both as a Professional Engineer and as a Professional Surveyor.

Scholarships will be awarded to Civil Engineering and Surveying students at the Junior and Senior level of a Bachelors program and to current county employees who are interested in working toward their dual registration. Applications should be submitted directly to the CEAO office; selections will be made by the CEAO Scholarship Committee.

Completed applications are due by June 12, 2020. Applications and copies of transcripts should be mailed to the CEAO office.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine Enacts Stay at Home Order concerning COVID-19

April 6, 2020

Governor Mike DeWine along with Ohio Department of Health Director Dr. Amy Acton have enacted a stay-at-home order as the number of cases in the state continues to rise.

Update: Dr. Acton issued a new stay at home order that begins on April 7, 2020 and lasts through May 1, 2020. This order prohibits holding gatherings of any size and closes all nonessential businesses. It does NOT prohibit essential activities like going to the grocery store, receiving medical care, or taking your pet for a walk. Residents can return home from out of state and can leave the state.
