Tunison Named 2004 CEAO

Neil Tunison took office as the Warren County Engineer In January 1997, following his election in 1996. He joined the Engineer's Office in 1986 after 10 years of employment in the private sector with consulting engineer firms. During 10 years of service prior to his election as County Engineer, he served as Bridge Engineer, Assistant County Engineer and finally as Chief Deputy Engineer for a period of four years. Mr. Tunison is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. He is an active board member of the Ohio County Engineers Association and District 10 Integrating Committee of the Ohio Public Works Commission. He has developed a special interest in storm water issues and has been involved in the development of legislation to expand the role of counties in building and maintaining drainage facilities. That work has recently grown to attempt to include multi-jurisdictional cooperation in dealing with the new NPDES Phase II regulations. He is also a member of the Lebanon Kiwanis Club, is actively involved as a Boy Scout Leader, and serves as a Sunday School teacher and on the Board of Trustees at the Lebanon Presbyterian Church. Neil, his wife, Connie, and their children, Randy, Amy, and Robert, make their home in Lebanon. Their son Randy, is a student at Bowling Green State University. The Tunisons continue to be active in their church, Scouting activities and community affairs.
