Load Rating Applications for Fracture Critical and Continuous Multi-Span Bridges are Now Being Accepted by CEAO CEAO has set aside $2.5 million of Fiscal Year 2011 LBR funds for the load rating of fracture critical bridges that were not included in the first load rating project and for continuous multi-span bridges. For this project, continuous multi-span bridges are those where each span cannot be evaluated individually as a "simple span" because either the deck or superstructure causes the loads to be transferred between spans. Applications for funding are due to the CEAO Office by September 30, 2010.

Applications for Sign Upgrade Projects are Now Being Accepted for FY 2011 Due to the lack of funding availability in the fiscal year 2011 HSIP Program, CEAO has suspended the safety study program for FY 2011. This program is scheduled to resume in FY 2012. Because the sign upgrade projects are funded out of the CSTP Program, CEAO is now taking applications for sign upgrade projects only. Applications are due to the CEAO Office by July 30, 2010. June 9th Memo to County Engineers
